Abstract Ducks in Pond

I did these ducks as a pen and ink design, then digitally colored it. I had painted these ducks earlier in watercolor and still like them. It reminds me of peaceful times watching ducks in the water with the myriad reflections.

This is available as a 10x8" print now on Etsy.

New "Forest Folk" art print leaf girl

This is my first in a series of little forest folk - you know, the nature people. You could see them as a child...can you see them anymore?? If not, you can see them now on my prints and apparel! I just put this little cutie on etsy this morning, so if you want a peek, click here.

Designer T-shirt apparel "Wired"

This is something I am trying out: t-shirts with my pen & ink designs printed on them. "Wired" is bright and colorful and sure to brighten up your day! You can find "Wired" and more of my designs on apparel here.
It's gray and cloudy here in Texas, so hope others of you have nicer weather if you're traveling or planning a picnic. I may do some more sketching today if the gray "blahs" don't put me to sleep! I'm also reading The DaVinci Code (I may be a little behind the times?). I don't quite know what to say about it, except it is a walla-palooza! Being an artist, I thought I was pretty familiar with DaVinci's paintings, but I guess I never noticed all the symbolism.

Orange Cat with Bowtie

I just finished this little guy yesterday. I had invented him for one of my earlier paintings and thought he would be perfect for a pen and ink print. What do you think? I just posted him on etsy this morning, so click here to find him.

Woodsy Owl

This is woodsy owl, wishing you all a good morning. I don't just do owls, of course, but they are among my favorites. I think that birds are such wonderful creatures. I really, really like those huge black ravens too - the kind that make "WHOOP, WHOOP" sounds when they fly over your head. They sound like those Australian things that you swing over your head (I forget now what they are called). Anyway, "woodsy" can be seen on etsy.com now so have a peek! I hope you all have a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend.

One of my first...

I am having so much fun with these new designs! This is the first time I've ever tried doing pen & ink illustrations and then digitally coloring them (it only took me about 4 days and a lot of trial and error to learn how to do this). I think it's so cool to be able to do a drawing, then be able to change the colors and print however many I want to! To those who aren't artists themselves, this may not seem like such a big thrill...my husband didn't really understand my sense of accomplishment, though he does like the designs. I like doing cute little animals, reminiscent of my childhood, my woodland friends, and the fairy tales I used to read. This is still with me and is spurring me onward to new endeavors. I don't know why, but I started out with owls.... this is the first one of the series and is available now in my etsy shop or as apparel in my zazzle shop.
